What we Do
Corporate Accounting Services
Audit Engagements
Audit engagements offer the highest level of assurance to third parties and includes an in-depth assessment of the risk of material misstatement of financial statement balances, examination and confirmation of key account balances and assessment of internal controls.
Compilation Engagements
Compilation engagements differ from reviews and audits as there is no assurance provided in this engagement. The financial statements are based upon client information provided and are used primarily for tax reporting and internal use.
Preparation of Various T-Slips
Assistance in the preparation of t-slips such as T4’s and T5’s and other slips that are required to be filed by the various government agencies.
Review Engagements
Review engagements offer limited assurance to third parties and involves inquiries and analytical procedures to assess the plausibility of the financial statements and compliance with Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Tax Planning and Filing
The assistance with business planning, structuring management, owner compensation, tax advice on purchasing and selling a business, tax effective retirement and estate planning, corporate reorganizations and advice on business start-up.
GST/HST, WSIB, EHT, and other filings
The assistance with or preparation of the various government returns such as GST/HST, WSIB, EHT and other filings.
Personal Tax Services
We understand that personal tax returns can be burdensome, and at Lake Country Accounting and Tax Professional Corporation, we hope to help you in the process of tax planning.
By working with our firm, clients find support in personal tax filing, tax planning, and tax compliance. We hope to make your tax preparation as easy and painless as possible, while giving you the knowledge and tools to plan for the coming years.
